We serve with Athletes in Action Canada, a ministry of Power to Change, as sports ministry consultants to churches, athletes, and sports coaches. As missionaries of Bayfair Baptist Church since 1995, we have dedicated our lives to this mission.

We are blessed with four grown children—Matthew, Melissa, Ryan, and Rob—and thirteen grandchildren, ranging from ages 5 to 22.

Our primary focus is to pray for, support, and encourage athletes and coaches in their daily lives. We accomplish this through Bible studies, notes of encouragement via text or email, and offering to pray for them. This enables us to provide ongoing support and encouragement. Our service extends beyond Canada to athletes and coaches around the world.

Here is a glimpse of our international work:

• Germany: We collaborate with the European Union of Baseball, a group of baseball enthusiasts dedicated to sharing God’s love across Europe.

• Jamaica: We partner with Leon, the president of Little League Baseball, who works with churches to spread the love of Christ.

• Restricted Country: Airvan, a soccer coach, uses the sport to invite kids and teenagers to church.

• USA: We support over 30 coaches who each have their own sports ministries.

• Canada: We work with over 50 elite athletes who aim to use their platforms to share Christ.

We also facilitate opportunities for these athletes and coaches to serve their churches, communities, teammates, and competitors.
